The Illinois Soybean Association — with funding from the Illinois soybean checkoff —has partnered with Farm Journal to sponsor its renowned Soybean College. You’re invited to join the Class of 2013 for this valuable learning opportunity.

Class Starts at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24 in Heyworth, IL.

Soybean College features an agenda packed with practical, take-home production knowledge. From classroom-style general sessions to in-field breakouts, you’ll hear from industry-leading growers and researchers on topics that matter to you and your bottom line. Plus, you’ll receive hands-on training on identifying growth stages, managing soybean pests and more!

The program is led by Farm Journal Agronomist Ken Ferrie, one of the few truly independent agronomists in the nation. It also includes presentations by University of Illinois Ag Economist Fred Below and Professor Bryan Young, Ph.D., from Southern Illinois University’s College of Agricultural Sciences. The event will include general instruction and breakout sessions in the field, covering the following topics:

  • Building Soil Health for High Yields
  • In-field Growth Stages
  • Mini Sprayer School

It’s that time of year again! ISA invites soybean growers from across Illinois to take part in the 2013 Yield Challenge. The Challenge – which provides growers with a platform to test innovative crop management strategies and technologies that could help boost yields.


We are proud to celebrate 100 years of Illinois soybean production and 50 years of the association serving Illinois soybean farmers. Please share your stories and photos with us. Content will be used in Illinois Field & Bean magazine, the ISA website and other communication channels.
